If it feels like you’ve been getting a lot of Elon Musk content on your Twitter feed this week, you’re not alone. The Twitter CEO apparently asked engineers to modify the social network’s algorithm to prioritize his tweets.
It all reportedly started when musk’s tweets supporting the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl got much less attention than a similar tweet posted by President Joe Biden. And the Twitter boss apparently wasn’t very happy about that. So musk’s assistants asked an engineering team to fix the issue. Their solution was to artificially boost Musk’s tweets by a factor of 1000. That’s why a lot of people noticed their Twitter for your page was dominated by musk’s tweets and replies, even if they don’t follow him. And they say money can’t buy everything…
Well Now, this might seem to be promoting Elon Musk, which is right but we can’t also ignore that he owns Twitter so he’s on top of whatever happens with Twitter…
