EU Passes law forcing- iPhone might switch to Type-C or go Port-Less

Recently, the European Parliament passed a law mandating USB-C as a common charging port for most electronic devices, including AirPods and iPhones, by the end of 2024.

This measure, designed to reduce electronic waste and make the use of different devices more efficient, will especially affect Apple since it uses a Lightning connector in many of its products instead of USB-C. This measure forces Apple to change the Lightning port to a USB-C before 2025.

Do you think it is a good decision or would you prefer Apple to continue using Lightning on the iPhone?
