Samsung might let you self-repair smartwatches and earbuds in the future

Samsung has filed a new trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for a mobile app called “Self Repair Assist.” First spotted by SamMobile, the app’s icon in the application shows a cogwheel and a wrench with a blue background. Its description reads as follows:

“Computer application software for mobile phones for self-installation and self-maintenance of smartwatches, tablets, mobile phones, and earbuds”.

From the text above, it looks like Samsung may expand its self-repair program to include Galaxy watches and earbuds in the future. The current program Samsung offers is restricted to Galaxy Phones and tablets, including the Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy S21 lineup, and the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus.
